Muriel Guepin gallery is pleased to announce a new exhibition by artists Jeanne Verdoux, Everett Aison and Matthew Conradt entitled “Return us to Ourselves”. Their work will be on view at the gallery from September 25th through November 7th. Opening Reception will be on Saturday September 25 from 6:30 to 9 pm.
Using different medium techniques and style, these three artists reveal human diversities, complexities and contradictions while inviting us to look to others and more importantly into ourselves.
Using New Yorker magazine subscription cards as canvasses, Jeanne Verdoux has been observing and drawing random people traveling on the New York subway. These small black and white pen ink drawings explore human nature as well as attitudes, trends, and seasons. All together, they portray the city and express Verdoux’ unique perception of New Yorkers’ day to day life.
